Introduction

My goals here are to:

1) provide a page for each topic that contains the top, related resources I know and

2) share with you what I needed to work towards in each category in order to get better at teaching and managing a classroom.

Teaching Strategies

Categories and Topics

Text Box: Mrs. Sanders’ Classroom Management Procedures, Documents, and Links

Three Articles:

On Effectiveness and Professionalism

and

On Self-Care and Morale”

and

On Efficiency

Teacher turnover is high for several reasons.  My motto: (1) Pray, (2) discern, (3) prepare, (4) communicate, (5) relate well, (6) execute, and (7) bit by bit, continuously improve.

Note: One of the reasons I believe very strongly in class websites is because they “force” and facilitate items #3, 4, 5, and 6.

about Behavior Guidance

and Classroom Discipline

· Go to this page.

These books on the topic of behavior and discipline are MUST HAVE’s in my opinion.  Also, you really don’t want to miss out on these listed websites if you don’t already utilize them or naturally practice the techniques and practices they explain.  This is a collection of discipline-related resources that capture information that  (1) you don’t want to step in front of a group of students without and that (2) you hope and pray that your child’s teachers have internalized.

your certificate, job loss,

lawsuits, etc.)

· Go to this page.

At this section: You’ll want to bookmark the shared teacher documents website.  It’s maintained by some awesome teachers.  Also, you’ll really and truly want to implement the described “Huge Binder of Student Information” procedure.  A teachers.net submitter shared it with me.  It will be your salvation at parent-teacher conferences.  And there’s more!
